Seems everyone always thinks they are an expert...leave your negative condescending attitude at the door toilet before you enter the thread..

Played a 2d game and was on a nice run up 1500 with another player at table...then
I lost every single hand in the next 3 shuffles

It's almost 40 years since the idea of card counting has been introduced. It would be naive to think that casinos have not found an effective way to battle the problem. I wish some of the math experts could prove that today's games can not be counted, it simply does not work, as it does not work with baccarat.

I'll go with that! I'll also refrain from posting about dice or craps or anything else that I know nothing about.Viva

Ok after losing the 1500 I was up in that last session and drained back to even, I switched tables to a 6D game and the bloodbath continued...
in the one half shoe I played the dealer scored herself 7 natural blackjacks and 4 hands of multi-card 21s...I ended up losing 2k in that half shoe...so, up I went and switched tables...
Playing one shoe at the new table...I finally had a nice run where I could press and won the 2k back from the half shoe from hell moments earlier plus another 800
Trip is now +800
I am having a late night snack and heading to bed
Sweet dreams to all and I am glad you are all enjoying my posts

True, I am a novice player however, isn't it true the cards don't have eyes? Meaning why get up from a table and go to another and another? If the count is way in the favor of the shoe I understand. But if the count is in your favor why move? Human emotion or a feeling doesn't change the cards. True? What would you pros (Advantage Players) do?

Win or lose, I put out the bet called for according to the count. If I lose ten hands in a row, the next bet goes up without hesitation or emotion as long as I have the advantage. Emotion is good for cover but that's another story. It just takes too long to get the advantage to throw it away on superstition, especially in shoe games. Why leave a positive shoe to start a neutral shoe?

Does it always work out? No, in the short term you will take your lumps.

Lucha Loco; Bomber Boneyards

  • What blanco niño doesn’t like to to don a rasslin’ mask and live the life of a luchador? (Call me El Tryptophan, master of the sleeper hold.) Er, maybe it’s a Jack Black/Jack Nack thing. In any case, Lucha Loco is a set of more than 120 portraits of masked Mexican wrestlers, complete with biographical bits. (“I teach Tae Kwan-Do. I’m black-belt. And I’m also in sales,” says Dr. Muerte. See also Super Porky and others in the gallery.) [Via]
For more lucha goodness, check out these pix from the Golden Age of Mexican cinema (viva El Santo!).
  • Night photographer Troy Paiva (aka Lost America) has posted a beautiful gallery of shots taken at an airplane boneyard at El Mirage Dry Lake. Joe Reifer has another good set from the same spot.

  • Okay, this has nothing to do with anything besides pointy metal things flying through the air, but FYI in case you’re planning to judge any javelin competitions: you may want to wear some sturdy insteps.
